Not gonna happen.

Boonprot involves being able to place your prots in efficient places and not just spamming Reversal so you don't run out of energy. AKA the exact opposite of hero behavior.

On the other hand, they played boonsmite just fine up until Anet destroyed it recently.

Defender's Zeal is a pretty underrated skill that does a good job in giving heroes the energy to be able to use boonprot effectively.

I used it on my boonsmite before Anet killed it. That's why I personally think the 'buff' was more of a 'nerf'. Now prot is god, Smite is just used for Strength of Honor, and healing is a joke.

But oh, wait, I forgot, ER ele's already prot and heal better, so I guess it doesn't really matter not does it :P

Whilst I find them better than monk heroes, they still leave something to be desired. They don't use ER enough.

They maintain it as much as possible for me. Still, if you have problems, bind it.

this month's update made Divine Boon useless with Healing prayers and Smiting Prayers.

Do you have glyph of swiftness on your hero? Do they use it with ER?
